NUTRITION COUNSELING
Our relationship to food often represents our relationships in other aspects of our life. When we are able to learn to eat in a way that nourishes body, spirit and mind, we experience a more peaceful and compassionate relationship with our Whole Self.
Through our sessions, we will help you create a personalized and unique plan that can help with
Developing awareness of behaviors and thoughts in a judgment-free space
Feeling empowered to feed yourself in alignment with your body’s needs
Understanding how movement can support your well-being
Cultivating acceptance, body kindness and self-trust
Exploring the frameworks of intuitive eating and mindfulness (when possible)
SESSIONS
Initial: The initial session is a nutrition assessment that usually lasts 60-75 minutes. During this session, we go over your medical, health and eating history. We discuss your current eating patterns and challenges, as well as nutrition and movement goals. The initial session is also a time where you can bring any questions or concerns to us about the nutrition therapy process so that we can begin to collaborate as a team and develop an individualized plan for you.
Follow-up: Subsequent nutrition sessions typically last 45 minutes. We will work together to follow up on your specific nutrition and behavioral goals, bringing mindfulness and compassionate awareness as we look more in depth at daily food choices, beliefs and eating patterns.
